Country Road

We have been on the hunt for a weekender - and I've found the perfect place.

Down this country lane...

and through this gate..

I stumbled upon the most amazing house.

It has a big shed...

and is surrounded by mature, shady trees...

The house has large, wrap-around verandahs....

and all of its original features are still intact....

It has gorgeous rural and coastal views and is only 7km from this...

I am in love...

  1. Oh I love it too. Nothing better than a ramshackle old house in the country but near the sea. So, are you making an offer? I am on the edge of my seat with your week to week house pursuits! mel x

I think I would make that my permanent home and look for another weekender!

    1. Yes, it's so tempting. I've got to stop looking at real estate - I get too carried away. xx

    1. If our situation was different, it could certainly qualify as a permanent address. If only we didn't have to work! xx

  4. Oh, it is! This house has been in the same family for 70 years. Apparently Carinya is an Aboriginal word meaning peaceful and happy home. That's exactly the feeling I got as soon as I drove through the gates. xx

Imagine how a fresh coat of white paint would bring it to life......
